After years away from the Postmodern Areopagus, and then a few short attempts at the Global Texan, and after five years away from Texas (back to Oklahoma), I have half-heartedly decided to start writing again. But I am no longer a Texan (yes, that can be a thing) and am back in the land of my birth, Oklahoma. Although "global oklahoman" doesn't flow too well, my friend Wade has the "global okie" moniker over on instagram, which i will probably never do.
So why come back? Well, i have been using various social media such as facebook, twitter, and linkedin for a variety of purposes, but miss the experience of actually recording thoughts, impressions, and experiences. I am a fairly private person by nature, but also forgetful. if i don't write my thoughts, i forget them. But i don't want my miscellaneous reminiscences to become lightning rods for controversy. Plus, the public profile of twitter, FB, etc, can be a real trap.
I actually don't know if i will use this or not. i found it helpful back in the days of PMA, but now, just not sure. i travel, and the other platforms are better for posting pics, but too visible.
anyway, it is up, created, with the first post. let's see if i remember to ever post again!
